Connected Hearts April 5th, 2010 Minutes
Members present: Donna Warden, Kevin Burton, Cheryl Burton, Chuck Becker, Barb Evans, Tony Monetti, Penny Monetti
1. Balance $17,000
2. We agreed to fund a $500 scholarship for a deserving student that plans to attend post High School education.
3. We agreed to fund activities for needy students for the Parks and Rec supplemental grant. School counselors and social workers will identify needy candidates so they can attend activities at the Parks and Rec. We decided not to fund family pool passes due to lack of supervision.
4. We discussed making a Facebook page. Penny will work on this.
5. Barb Evans, representing RVI, gave a synopsis of monies used from CH to assist needy children and their families. She will e-mail CH the notes that can be shared with sponsors.
6. Penny discussed creating new ideas for fundraising. She gave a vision of RVI students making art project (heart links) and then connecting all the Links. For each link, students and possibly the community would pay for their heart link, which in turn would be collected. The links would be displayed at half time during one of the home football games, and possibly a collection box could be present for additional donations. Penny and Donna will draft a letter to the RVI school district leadership in order to determine how the monies will be collected.
7. Next meeting will be at the Community Center, July 12th, 6:00 PM due to the 4th of July celebration.

THE PEPOLE OF WARRENSBURG AND THE FINE AND GREAT(BUT STILL HUMAN TOO) SCHOOL SYSTEM WE HAVE HERE IN THIS COMMUNITY. WELL DONE TO ALL
